Email log settings

Open SMTPPai → Settings to control how much email history SMTPPai keeps.

Keep logs for (days)

1. Find Keep logs for (days).
2. Enter the number of days you want to retain log rows.
3. Save.

The daily cleanup job removes older entries. Default on new installs is 14 days. See also Clean up and understand log retention.

Store email body in log (not recommended)

1. Find the checkbox labeled Store email body in log (not recommended).
2. Leave it unchecked for most sites.
3. Enable it only when you need to debug content or rely on log Retry restoring the original body.

Why “not recommended”?

Bodies can include personal data, order details, or password-reset context. Storing them in the WordPress database increases privacy and security responsibility. Headers, subjects, recipients, and error messages are usually enough to diagnose delivery problems.

After changing settings

• New log rows follow the new body-storage choice.
• Retention changes apply on the next cleanup runs for age-based deletion.
