MailerSend connects with an API key (API token). Your From address must sit on a domain verified in MailerSend.
When to choose MailerSend
Choose MailerSend if you already host transactional domains there and want WordPress to reuse those credentials.
Prerequisites
- MailerSend account
- Verified domain
- API token with send permission
Open SMTPPai
- SMTPPai → Dashboard → Add connection
- Click MailerSend
Field-by-field setup
Connection name
Example: “MailerSend site”.
From name / From email
Use an address on a domain shown in your MailerSend domains list.
API key
- Create or copy an API token in MailerSend (see Managing API tokens).
- Paste into SMTPPai’s API key field.
Dashboard entry point: MailerSend domains.
Credential storage
Database or MAILPAI_SMTP_API_KEY in wp-config.php.
Save and test
Save → Dashboard Test → confirm Email Log status.

- Unverified domain
- Token missing send scope or copied with extra spaces
