SparkPost connects through SMTPPai with an API key that can use the Transmissions API, plus the correct Region.
When to choose SparkPost
Choose SparkPost if your sending domains and event reporting already live there.
Prerequisites
- SparkPost account (US or EU)
- Verified sending domain
- API key with send / Transmissions permission
Open SMTPPai
- SMTPPai → Dashboard → Add connection
- Click SparkPost
Field-by-field setup
Connection name
Example: “SparkPost WP”.
From name / From email
From must use a verified domain: SparkPost → Sending → Sending Domains (DNS completed).
API key
- Open SparkPost → Account → API Keys.
- Create a key with Transmissions / send permission.
- Paste into SMTPPai.
Region
Select EU for EU accounts (api.eu.sparkpost.com). Otherwise use US.
Credential storage
Database or MAILPAI_SMTP_API_KEY.
Save and test
Save → Test. If nothing arrives, check spam, confirm domain verification, and open SparkPost → Reports → Events.
