SMTP2GO connects with an API key (keys typically start with api-). SMTPPai uses the global API at api.smtp2go.com — there is no separate region field.
When to choose SMTP2GO
Choose SMTP2GO if you already verify senders there and want a straightforward API key integration.
Prerequisites
- SMTP2GO account
- Verified sender under Sending → Verified Senders
- API key with Email Sending permission
Open SMTPPai
- SMTPPai → Dashboard → Add connection
- Click SMTP2GO
Field-by-field setup
Connection name
Example: “SMTP2GO”.
From name / From email
Must be a verified sender: open the SMTP2GO dashboard → Sending → Verified Senders. Guide: Verified senders.
API key
- In SMTP2GO open Sending → API Keys.
- Click Add API Key and enable Email Sending.
- Copy the key into SMTPPai’s API key field.

Credential storage
Database or MAILPAI_SMTP_API_KEY.
Save and test
Save → Test → Email Log.
Common failures
- API key without Email Sending permission
- From address not verified
