How to Configure Zepto Mail

Zepto Mail (Zoho) uses a Send Mail token and a Hosted region. Paste only the token — not the full Authorization header from sample curl commands.

When to choose Zepto Mail

Use Zepto Mail if your transactional agent and domains already live in Zoho Zepto Mail.

Prerequisites

  1. Zepto Mail agent with a verified domain
  2. Send Mail token from Agent → SMTP/API → API
  3. Correct hosted region (US, EU, or India)

Open SMTPPai

  1. SMTPPai → Dashboard → Add connection
  2. Click Zepto Mail

Field-by-field setup

Connection name

Example: “Zepto Mail”.

From name / From email

Use an address on a domain verified in your Zepto Mail Agent (Domains tab), for example noreply@yourdomain.com.

Send Mail token

  1. In Zepto Mail, open your Agent → SMTP/API → API.
  2. Copy the Send Mail token only.
  3. Paste into SMTPPai. Do not include Zoho-enczapikey or the word Authorization from sample curl examples.

Hosted region

Select one of:

  • US (api.zeptomail.com)
  • EU (api.zeptomail.eu)
  • India (api.zeptomail.in)

Wrong region often produces access denied or invalid token errors.

Credential storage

Database or MAILPAI_SMTP_API_KEY (token value).

Save and test

Save → Test → Email Log.

Access denied?

  • Re-paste only the token (no prefix)
  • Match Hosted region
  • Verify From domain
  • Check Zepto Mail → Settings → Allowed IPs if IP restriction is on
