Resend is a modern API email provider. SMTPPai needs your Resend API key and a From address on a domain Resend accepts.
When to choose Resend
Pick Resend if you already verified a domain there and prefer a simple API-key workflow.
Prerequisites
- Resend account
- Verified domain (or allowed sender) in Resend
- An API key with send permission
Open SMTPPai
- SMTPPai → Dashboard → Add connection
- Click Resend
Field-by-field setup
Connection name
Example: “Resend production”.
From name / From email
Use an address on your verified Resend domain.
API key
- Open Resend → API Keys.
- Click Create, copy the key immediately.
- Paste into SMTPPai’s API key field.
Credential storage
Database encryption, or MAILPAI_SMTP_API_KEY in wp-config.php.
Save and test
Save the connection, send a Dashboard Test, then verify under Email Log.
Common failures
- From domain not verified in Resend
- API key revoked or copied incompletely
